🗺️ The Route

From Montego Bay, head east along the A1 coast road through Falmouth and Discovery Bay. The drive is scenic with ocean views most of the way. The road is two lanes and well-maintained. You'll pass through several small towns — watch for speed bumps and pedestrians.

🏞️ Must-Stop Attractions

• Dunn's River Falls — Jamaica's most famous waterfall. Climb the 600-foot terraced falls with a guide. Bring water shoes and a change of clothes.
• Blue Hole — Hidden natural swimming pools in the jungle. Jump from cliffs into crystal blue water. An absolute must-do.
• Mystic Mountain — Bobsled ride through the rainforest, zip lines, and a sky explorer chairlift with incredible views.
• Fern Gully — A 3-mile road through a canopy of giant ferns. One of Jamaica's most beautiful drives.
• Rose Hall Great House — Historic plantation house on the way. Guided tours tell the story of the "White Witch of Rose Hall."

• Scotchies (Drax Hall) — The original and best jerk centre in Jamaica. Right on the main road.
• Miss T's Kitchen — Authentic Jamaican home cooking in the heart of Ocho Rios.
• Falmouth Fish Fry — Stop in Falmouth on the way for fresh fried fish by the water.

💡 Tips for This Drive

• Visit Dunn's River Falls early (before 10 AM) to avoid cruise ship crowds
• The road through Falmouth has a bypass — take it to save 15 minutes
• Blue Hole requires a guide — arrange one at the entrance (tip expected)
• Fill up on gas before leaving Montego Bay or in Falmouth
• Plan for a full day if you want to see multiple attractions
